"Pause When Pissed" Workshop

"Pause When Pissed" Workshop

Wednesday, January 28, 2026 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EST)

Description

Let’s be real—most incidents on a jobsite don’t happen because someone doesn’t know how to do their job… they happen because someone got distracted, frustrated, or pissed off. That’s where the Pause When Pissed Workshop comes in.

It’s a high-energy, science-backed, laugh-while-you-learn session built for the construction industry. Led by My Steady Mind, we teach crews and leaders how to control their internal chaos before it controls the jobsite.

What to Expect

  • 3-hour interactive workshop (on-site)
  • Real jobsite scenarios and stress triggers
  • Tactical tools like BAMO (Breathe And Move On) and STEA (Stimulus, Thought, Emotion, Action)
  • Group challenges that make it stick (and make it fun)

Objectives & Outcomes

  • Reduce distraction and frustration that lead to rework, conflict, and accidents
  • Improve decision-making under pressure—especially when emotions run hot
  • Enhance focus, composure, and leadership on the jobsite and at home

Value Proposition

  • Lower risk = lower incident rates and insurance costs
  • More focused crews = better production and fewer costly mistakes
  • Less burnout = higher retention and morale
  • Builds a culture where people know how to pause before they pop off

Remember, "You can't control the chaos around you, but you can control the chaos within you." Let's bring this to your employees and leadership. Your people will thank you.
